Candidates who wish to pursue Chartered Accountancy Course can register for Foundation Course after appearing for Class 12th examination. The CA Foundation examination is designed to evaluate a candidate's grasp of fundamental concepts in accounting, Economics, Mathematics and law. It is conducted thrice in year, typically in May/June , September and January. The examination comprises four papers.

CA Foundation Course Syllabus

There are a total of 4 CA Foundation course subjects in the CA Foundation course syllabus that students have to prepare for the exams.

These subjects include Accounting Principles and practices, Business Laws and Correspondence and Reporting, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics, and Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge.

1) In Principles & Practices of Accounting, students must achieve a score of 100 marks.

2) Business Laws carry a total of 100 marks.

3) On the other hand, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics consist of 100 marks in total, with Business Mathematics accounting for 40 marks, Logical Reasoning for 20 marks, and Statistics for 40 marks. (Objective Type).

4) Lastly, Business Economics - 100 Marks (Objective Type)

  • How much does CA Foundation cost?
    The CA foundation course fees amount to approximately ₹10,700. At the time of course registration, you must pay ₹9,000 as CA Foundation registration fees and an additional ₹1,500 when registering for the exam.
  • What is the foundation course of CA?
    The CA Foundation test comprises four papers, namely Principles and Practice of Accounting, Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting, and Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Statistics. This test is partially subjective and partially objective.
  • How many marks are required to pass the CA Foundation exam?
    Candidates should score a minimum of 40% marks on every paper and a minimum of 50% marks in a combination of all the papers to pass the CA foundation examination. CA Foundation examination is an offline examination conducted double a year.
  • Who is eligible for the CA Foundation course?
    Students Who have appeared in Class 12th Examination.
  • How do I know which level of the qualification I can start at?

  • Is there a minimum age at which to start the ACCA journey?

    There is an annual subscription fee due each year which may be subject to change and then you’ll also need to factor in the costs for each exam which will vary depending on where you start.   • What are the requirements to take the CPA Exam?
    There are 55 jurisdictions (50 states and five U.S. territories) with Boards of Accountancy. These boards determine the eligibility and licensure requirements for their jurisdiction’s candidates.
  • How much does it cost to take the CPA Exam?
    Fees depend upon the jurisdiction where you choose to become licensed. You can find details by referring to your specific Board of Accountancy.
  • Where can I take the CPA Exam?

  • What is the structure and format of the CPA Exam?
    The CPA Exam consists of three, four-hour Core sections and one, four-hour Discipline section. You’ll take one section at a time. Each section is divided into five testlets.
  • Is the CPA Exam available in a language other than English?
    No. The CPA Exam is only offered in English.
  • Will I take the same CPA Exam as other candidates?
    You will take a different but equivalent Exam. The questions presented to you are drawn from a pool of test questions according to defined specifications. Although you take different Exams, the specifications ensure that the results are comparable.
  • Is there a time limit for passing the CPA Exam?
    Time limits for passing the CPA Exam depend on your specific jurisdiction. NASBA is the best source for determining your time limit for passing the CPA Exam.
  • How do I apply for the CPA Exam?
    You must first decide on the jurisdiction to which you will apply. After selecting your jurisdiction, you can obtain application materials and submit your completed applications as directed.
  • Which exams are to be cleared to become a CS?
    There shall be three levels of examination to be cleared in CS Course: CSEET – Computer-based entrance level examination with objective questions Executive Programme – Second level exams with two modules, four papers in each. Professional Programme – Third and final level of exams with three modules, three papers each.
  • Is there any exemption fee applicable for such exempted categories of students?
    Yes. ICAI, ICMAI Final Course passed, Graduates (Minimum 50% Marks) and Post-Graduates students are required to pay Exemption Fee of Rs.5000/- while registering for Executive Programme.
  • What is the fee for registration to CSEET?
    The fee for registration to CSEET is Rs.1000/- per session. Students can also register for classes of CSEET conducted by Regional/Chapter offices at the time of registration in CSEET by remitting partial optional fees of Rs. 1000/-
  • Can the Graduates / Post Graduates (Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree Holders can seek registration directly to Executive Programmer?
    Yes. The Graduates (Minimum 50% Marks) / Post Graduates can take direct admission in CS Executive Programme
  • What are the pre-conditions for filling CS Executive Exam Form?
    Before filling out the CS Executive Exam Form, a student must have completed a One-Day Orientation Programme (ODOP) and cleared the Pre-exam test.
  • Which exams are to be cleared to become a CMA?
    There shall be three levels of examination to be cleared in CMA Course: CMA Foundation CMA INTERMEDIATE  CMA FINAL

  • Do I have to take parts 1 and 2 in this order, and do I have to take them together?
    No, you can take parts 1 and 2 in any order. You have the option of taking both together on the same day, although many members choose to separate their testing dates
  • When do I receive my exam Performance Report?
    Performance Reports are sent via e-mail from Prometric to all candidates who take an exam part. The performance reports are emailed approximately 14 days after exam results are posted to the candidate’s profile. Candidates who do not pass the exam will receive a report that indicates their performance on each of the key topic areas in the multiple-choice section as well as their overall performance on the essay section of the exam.
  • How do I register for an exam part?
    The CMA exams are computer-based and administered at hundreds of Prometric Test Centers worldwide. With three testing windows each year, you can sit for an exam at a time and place convenient for you. If you are enrolled in the CMA program and are ready to sit for the exam, here are the steps: 1. Pick your testing window. Testing windows are offered in January/February, May/June, and September/October. 2. Register for the exam at www.imaonlinestore.com. 3.   • How do I enroll in the CMA program?
    1. Visit imanet.org/cma-certification to apply. You will need to purchase the CMA entrance fee and IMA membership. The application process takes about 10 minutes. 2. Register for the exam. You can register for Part 1 and Part 2 in any order or register for both at the same time. Prepare to complete certification requirements including submitting your education transcript and work experience. This can be done before or after passing the exam but is required as a final step to become certified.
  • When can I take the exam?
    Exams are offered according to the following schedule: · January and February · May and June · September and October To schedule exam appointments, visit www.prometric.com/ICMA or call (800) 479-6370. To ensure your first choice of date, time, and location, it is best to schedule your appointment at least four weeks in advance. All exam appointments must be scheduled at least 72 hours in advance of the exam date. Once you are registered, you must take the exam part during your assigned testing session.
