ACCA works through a network of over 110 offices and centers in 51 countries - with 346 Approved Learning Partners (ALP) and more than 7,600 Approved Employers worldwide, who provide employee development.
-Course Structure
The qualification is structured in three modules, plus an Ethics and Professional Skills module and a Professional Experience Requirement (PER).
-The Applied Knowledge level consists of 3 examinations:
BT - Business and Technology
MA - Management Accounting
FA - Financial Accounting
-The Applied Skills level consists of 6 examinations:
LW - Corporate and Business Law
PM - Performance Management
TX - Taxation
FR - Financial Reporting
AA - Audit and Assurance
FM - Financial Management
-The Strategic Professional level involves 4 examinations: 2 from Essential and any 2 from Options.
*Essential (or Compulsory)*:
SBL - Strategic Business Leader
SBR - Strategic Business Reporting
Options:
AFM - Advanced Financial Management
APM - Advanced Performance Management
ATX - Advanced Taxation
AAA - Advanced Audit and Assurance
How does the ACCA Qualification work?
Students progress through three elements of the ACCA Qualification on their journey to ACCA
membership, these are:
1.) ACCA Exams
2.) An Ethics & Professional Skills Module.
3.) A Practical Experience Requirement.
ACCA Eligibility:-
There are two Routes for starting ACCA:-
1.) ACCA Foundation in Accountancy Route - Under this Route a Student can Start ACCA after 9th Standard (ICSE Board) or after 10th Class (CBSE Board). The Student needs to Clear three Levels of ACCA while Passing exams from F1 to F13 as mentioned above.
However, a student is also required to pass Mentioned three subjects which will be in addition to the papers of F1 to F13. However these papers will be optional for the students to Clear, these subjects are added only in ACCA(FIA route) so that students can gain a basic understanding of the major subjects covered in ACCA Knowledge Level Exams, which are mandatory to pass.
The Subjects are:-
1.) Recording Financial Transactions
2.) Management Information
3.) Maintaining Financial Records
4.) Managing Finance & Costs.
2.) ACCA Qualification Route- Under this Route Students need to satisfy the Following Conditions:
Passes are held in 5 Subjects (At Least 3 in 12th Class):-
1.) English & Maths/Accounts - 65% &
2.) Over 50% in Others.
If the above criteria are not satisfied then the student will be Registered in ACCA through the FIA route.
In the ACCA Qualification Route, a Student needs to take only Exams from F1 to F13 as mentioned above.
Exam Pattern:-
Currently, these ACCA CBEs comprise four main question types: multiple choice, multiple response, multiple response matching, and number entry. All questions are worth two marks. Some questions will include background information, which is needed to help you answer the question. The table shows the question types included in each paper available by CBE.
1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): MCQs are the most commonly used question type and feature
in all of ACCA’s CBEs. You are required to choose one answer from a list of options by clicking on the
appropriate ‘radio button’.
2. Multiple-response Questions (MRQs): You are required to select more than one response from the
options provided by clicking the appropriate tick boxes. Questions typically have four answer options, two of which are correct.
Passing Marks & Passing Rate:-
1.) Students need to Score More than or equal to 50% Percent Marks to hold a pass in that Particular Subject.
2.) Applied Knowledge: 50-80%
Applied Skills: 40-60%
Strategic Professional: 35-40%.
WHEN ARE THE ACCA EXAMS HELD?
ACCA has a flexible study approach and you can take their computer-based test at any of their ACCAs Authorized Computer Based exam centers.
ACCA has two types of computer-based exams (CBEs):
1. On-demand CBEs: For F1-F4 exams you can appear at any time throughout the Year.
2. Session CBEs: For F5-F13 exams you can appear in any of the four sessions held in March, June, September and December.
